Junior Finance Manager (JFM) required for multi-national property company, north Dublin.  Reporting to the Finance Manager, overseeing two Finance Administrators, the JFM be responsible for preparation of monthly accounts and P&L statements. 

This role would suit either an Accounts Technician or someone who is studying for accountancy exams and looking to take the next step up in their accounting career. 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

This role will report directly to the Finance Manager and will provide key support for all finance activities within the business with an emphasis on monthly accounts and financial reports.

 

• Preparation and completion of the monthly Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheets

• Monitoring actual v budget performance monthly

• Variance analysis

• VAT preparation

• Preparation and reconciliation of monthly accounts;

• Preparing and posting journals, accruals, prepayments, expenses.

• Provide full support for the annual external audit process;

• Preparation of cashflows.

• Completing bank and credit card reconciliations;

• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Continuously look to improve reporting and analysis;

• Ad hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as assigned.

• Maintain good customer relations and working relationships

• Liaising with other departments and external clients as required

• Manage strict monthly deadlines

 

ABOUT THE PERSON

 

• Working towards a professional qualification or qualified Accounts Technician

• Energetic team player with positive attitude

• Minimum 3 years’ experience;

• Attention to detail

• Ability to take initiative, identify issues and develop solutions;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Strong MS Office experience essential

• Strong knowledge of Excel
