Cork Cost Controller Contract (€50 – 80 per hour)
Cost Controller
The Cost Controller will need to bring energy, experience, and commitment to carry out the following:

Work in conjunction with client project teams to implement tools and methods to ensure project control

Monitor leading indicators and trends to provide early warning of issues to project teams, the E&C Area Lead and Regional Directors

Be accountable, unbiased, make issues visible and collaborate with teams to solve problems before they become overruns or missed deadlines

Focus on control and continuous improvement
Responsibilities:

Develop, monitor and maintain overall Monthly Project Cost Reports including: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, change management, risk management, and early warning of issues

Assure accurate and timely monitoring of project commitments, spending, accruals, budget transfers and change orders

Interface with client systems (SAP, PPRS, etc.) to enable controlling/reporting

Support implementation of Target Value Delivery

Develop and maintain overall project staffing and spending plans

Interface with AE (Architect Engineer) & CM (Construction Management) Project Control personnel to ensure accurate and timely cost reports and forecasts

Working knowledge of progress measurement methods and understanding of earned value systems

Support of project financial close-out requirements including asset definition and valuation
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent

5-10 years of cost engineering experience, preferably someone who has been involved with both client & EPCM organizations.

Experience, preference in Pharmaceutical projects. Open to relevant experience from other industries should experience match the above responsibilities.
Core competencies:

Demonstrated experience balancing and organizing multiple project or assignments

Demonstrated experience in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio)

Knowledge of SAP

Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients/peers/management to successfully meet shifting needs.

Must have strong oral/written communication skills and be able to present technical information in simple, non-technical terms.
